HMI Menu Access and Navigation for Electrical Control Packages
This article explains how to access and navigate the various menus in our Hood Electrical Control Package (ECP) for control package models SC and DCV from years 2012 through 2025, which utilized the ECPM03 circuit board.
This is relevant to ECPs with software revisions DCV 2.06 or later.
Specific menu trees can be found in the OI&M that was provided with the ECP.
The intended audience for this article is the fire system or electrical contractor who is maintaining a hood control system. Adjustments to options should not be required for daily operations.
HMI
Configuring settings is done through the HMI by pressing the top two buttons on the HMI.
Passwords
To access the Configuration for Factory Options, the password 1111 must be used.
To access the Configuration for Motor Control, the password 1111 must be used.
Warning: Factory settings should not be adjusted. Improper adjustments of factory settings may result in improper fan operation which could lead to loss of hood capture and in extreme cases, fire system malfunction.
After changing parameters in the configuration menus, the user needs to press MENU multiple times on the HMI until the screen displays “SAVE CHANGES?”
The screen will display:
- DISCARD – Pressing the DISCARD button will erase any parameter changes made in the HMI during this time. This will not erase parameter changes made previously.
- CANCEL – Pressing CANCEL will take you back to the options settings. This will not discard any parameter changes made.
- SAVE – Pressing SAVE, the screen will display “Saving...Wait for reboot”. As indicated, the processor will reboot. This allows the board to correctly process the parameters changed.
