CAS BACnet Gateway Changes/Updates
Release Date | Change Details/Information | Documentation |
September 2020 | An updated version of CAS BACnet Gateway is utlized after Sept 2020. Passwords are now specifically located on the SMC and old defaults are no longer valid. | CAS Gateway Plant Programming

August 2019 |
- There is a new version of the Protocessor which no longer includes the small DIP switches used to set the MAC address and the Baud Rate for BACnet MSTP.
- If the MAC and Baud dip switches are not present, these can now be set through the web interface of the Protocessor.
- This is only possible if the Protocessor was configured using the latest files.
- The web_config.csv file is a new general file that should be uploaded in the "General" section for all applications moving forward. This file will not change across revisions.

October 2015 |
- All BACnet DDC options for ECPM03 based controllers (DCV, SC, and HVLS) and IBT controllers (pre-MUA red board) will now utilize a new board called CAS BACnet Gateway. This board will replace BACnet ProtoNodes.
- LONWORKs ProtoNodes will still be used for LONWORKS DDC options.

Differences Between CAS BACnet Gateway and BACnet Protonode
- The CAS BACnet Gateway has no shell. It mounts on electrical panel back plates using screws on each of the 4 corner PEMs
- The connection between the CAS BACnet Gateway and the ECPM03 or IBT board is through a CAT-5 cable; it no longer requires an adaptor. Please be able to differentiate the two RJ45 ports on the CAS BACnet Gateway. Their functions are completely different.
- Notice the new location for the Mac Address and Baud Rate DIP switches. There is a bank of unused DIP switches in the board as well (valid for 2019 and earlier protocessors)
- There are two sets of status LEDs. The CAS BACnet Gateway status LEDs are green (Data out i.e. sent to ECPM03 or IBT), yellow (data in - received from ECPM03 or IBT0, and red (power).

Current Production | BMS Gateway for BACnet MS/TP or BACnet IP.
Includes CAS_GATEWAY circuit board and Protocessor BACnet interface.
For use with PEM mounting standoffs.
Not rated for use outside of an enclosure.
PART REQUIRES PROGRAMMING by Factory and further field programming for address and baud rate, if applicable. See Owners Manual for details on programming. | |
BACNET ProtoNode
**Obsolete**
Used from June 2014 to October 2015
Lonworks Protonodes are similar in appearance
The part number can be used to tell them apart
BACnet - FPC-N34
Lonworks - FPC-N35
There are also identifiable factors on the Protonode covers.
